about

I had been trying to put together a full length album for the past year and although I liked all of the songs I'd compiled, I just couldn't find the right sequencing. After banging my head against the wall on that and failing, I decided to just start putting out EP's for a while to see how I liked it. This is the first of the EP's that I plan on releasing. The only song from the scrapped full length is "Wash Me Out". I went through a dry period writing wise so I've been going back through my old catalogue to see if there's anything I thought should be re-recorded. I found about fifty songs that I'd like to redo. Also there's a wealth of songs that I've written or half written that have never been recorded that i'm working on as well. These old songs and half songs are what will make up my next few EP's.

The title "Eat My Gore" is just a throw back to my old days as a grindcore/death metal drummer in the late 80's/early 90's. I've always loved contrasts in art and "Eat My Gore" as a title is just me having fun and making a contrast of the lyrical subject matter and overall sound of my music and a brutal death metal album title like say maybe the band "Carcass" would come up with. I have another EP of original music that I'm putting together right now as well as an EP of Adam Franklin and "Swervedriver" covers that I plan to call "Architecture, Nature, Alcohol"……Hope you dig "Eat My Gore" and the rest to come.
